Miyazaki’s musical partner since Nausicaä, Hisaishi composed the sound of childhood for several generations: limpid piano, generous orchestra and themes you keep by ear.
Outside Ghibli he scored the films of Takeshi Kitano and maintains a concert career that fills halls worldwide — with vinyl and CDs much sought after by collectors.
